This course will cover Autism Spectrum Disorder by reviewing the diagnostic criteria outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), which define the core characteristics of the disorder. The official protocol adopted in Jordan for autism assessment and diagnosis will also be discussed, with a focus on the importance of early and accurate diagnosis. Additionally, the course will introduce the screening and evaluation tools used for early detection and symptom severity assessment. The goal of this course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of autism diagnosis and the assessment methods used to ensure effective and early intervention.
